Randall Stuart '' Randy '' Newman (geboren op 28 november 1943) is een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter, arrangeur, componist en pianist die bekend staat om zijn kenmerkende stem, bijtende (en vaak satirische) popliedjes en voor filmscores. < Sinds de jaren tachtig heeft Newman voornamelijk als filmcomponist gewerkt. Zijn filmscores omvatten Ragtime, Awakenings, The Natural, Leatherheads, James en the Giant Peach, Meet the Parents, Cold Turkey, Seabiscuit en The Princess and the Frog.
