Gene Clark, geboren Harold Eugene Clark (geboren Tipton, Missouri, 17 november 1944 - 24 mei 1991) was een Amerikaanse singer-songwriter en een van de stichtende leden van de folk-rockgroep The Byrds.
Gene Clark wordt vooral herinnerd als de belangrijkste songwriter van The Byrds tussen 1964 en 1966. Hij creëerde een grote muziekcatalogus in verschillende genres, maar slaagde er niet in om solo commercieel succes te behalen. Clark was een van de vroegste exponenten van psychedelische rock, barokpop, newgrass, country rock en alternatief land.
